On a serious note. I know what you mean about the 275's being runners. My 275 is always dependable and lights with one match. If and when I get another one I plan on Franken lanterning it.

As long as you do not cut anything 242ish so it can be returned when you see the error of your ways.

Kirk reminds me of a lot of those guys that when younger would get a nice old car, then hack it up into pieces because they had some great idea that they were going to make a hot rod out of it. Down the road, when no one wanted their hacked up car....they typically regretted their ways. In honor of this endeavor of Kirks...I will find and crush a perfectly good 275.

 If the globe is original can I have it if I pay for shipping? Recently took my lanterns off the shelf to clean and dust and my Turd globe is cracked. :x

I did not want to hog up space over on High Wide and Handsome so I will post my table here. If you see these in the wild buy one they are great work tables for lanterns.

 struck a nerve I believe....now hopefully I'll stumble across one. I don't actively look, especially for a 275. Since I don't have one will you smash a cast iron grated stove if I crush a 200A? I do have one of those. Doug

I rethought the smashing of a cast burner, but I have been fantasizing about running over a random stove with my pickup just to see it happen. The voices you know. :D

Randy...do you trust the chairs? I know of other tables like that with the chairs that fit into the table when folded, but they just don't look like they would hold up to todays bodies. Doug
