A funny little story about this weeks finds. After the flea my friend and I were hungry so he talked me into the buffet at a near by casino. I am not a casino guy in fact I tried to get out of it but I was really hungry and it did sound good. Sooooo.

Once I got in there and looked around it seemed like a fun environment. After we ate I saw an automated roulette wheel . So I put in 20 and started laying down my chips. I put them all out on the table and I had put 2 chips on #27 and it hit. So it paid for the buffet, gas, lanterns and stove. Pretty sweet deal 8)

That's how they get you hooked. You came out good the first time, next you just funnel in more money looking for that next winner's high. You really only need to have one addiction. Don't get caught up in trying to get another to pay for the first. If you loose it all at the casino, what will you use to buy more lanterns?

No worries Bill. I have a low pain threshold for losing money. 8)

Now you are really going to the dark side. I did the same with a 200A. I found I had to use a larger mantle to keep the generator hot enough or it would "huff" and carbon up the mantle. But the larger mantle then rubs against the pre heat cup and mantle life is decreased. If you put it on a 242 will probably be completely different. And your experience with a 200 may be different.

I would like a way to put a preheat cup right down on the bottom plate then there will be plenty of room for the mantle. And easier to add alcohol and light.

Eric, step away from the light.

Its a poltergeist. Just back up slowly. Then run. Dont do it. I will be all alone on this planet.

Step away from the light!!

RUG AND KERO are poison. They bait you with cheap promises. Fumes and dirt is all you will get. :(

I worked on my Ted Williams stove a bit today. The pump was leaking a bit like many of the AGM/Thermos pumps do threw the check valve. I was going to put an O-ring on it but while it operates like the AGM pump and uses the same O-rings for the pump plunger and tank seal the check valve does not come out nearly as far as an AGM so there is no room to put an O-ring on it. BUT. I did open the valve and brushed the seat with my tooth brush. ( time for new brush ). It is is now working and no leaks so far. May have to try this on some AGMs and see if the O-ring can be avoided.

Here is the money shot. On start up it takes a while for the stove to settle down then it burns like a champ.

I am now simmering a kettle on it.

I been using pump kerosene. Though I did start off with the high priced spread. Been thinking about trying some of the low sulfur diesel.

I am burning some pump kero right now.
