If the area is well ventilated, there should be no problem in using a stove like this in an enclosed area. Fuel is fuel, propane or white gas. If it's a questionable stove, yup, there could be a problem. Coleman made many hotplates back in the 30's that were used in trailers, I've got one and it works great!. I'd have no issue in firing any of my restored stoves up in the house and do so regularly. I set them up on the portable dishwasher and cook! The thing is....know your stove! Make sure it's in good operating condition, and know how to fire it up and adjust accordingly. Lack of knowledge/ maintenance has probably caused the bulk of stove issues. Of course, a gas pressure stove fired on unleaded will take more maintenance, IE...clean the gennie regularly. Doug
