If its a camper that has been sitting best bet is to check all the lines, the regulator and then blow em out with a light puff of air (like 10 psi regulated max). Check all the fittings after re-assembling with some soapy water and you should be good to go..

I am going to have a camp tech go through everything as he installs a new water tank.

Cool post but using gasoline for stove fuel inside a vehicle is just asking for trouble.. :?

My guess is that it was a warped reporting of them using it on the rear deck under the lift gate.... while the back of the vehicle is open.

If the area is well ventilated, there should be no problem in using a stove like this in an enclosed area. Fuel is fuel, propane or white gas. If it's a questionable stove, yup, there could be a problem. Coleman made many hotplates back in the 30's that were used in trailers, I've got one and it works great!. I'd have no issue in firing any of my restored stoves up in the house and do so regularly. I set them up on the portable dishwasher and cook! The thing is....know your stove! Make sure it's in good operating condition, and know how to fire it up and adjust accordingly. Lack of knowledge/ maintenance has probably caused the bulk of stove issues. Of course, a gas pressure stove fired on unleaded will take more maintenance, IE...clean the gennie regularly. Doug
