That flagrant display of "rubbermaid" in the background gives one to ponder  But the shine of a Coleman will guide in the dark long afre the Ice has melted!

We know that the rubbermaid cooler is outside for a reason - so the new Coleman cooler can take its rightful place in the galley :phew:

I'm hoping to get a break on the temps this weekend. I can finish doing the paint work on the stove. Last weekend, it almost got warm enough...got all the small stuff shot, then turned cold and the paint crawled off the lid. Had to bag it, and sand the lid down...nice and saggy. I've got too much stuff in the garage to paint in there and mud brown over spray won't look good on the Nomad. Doug

How's the VHT holding up on the vent?

Was curious if that would work well or if a vent would need to have the porcelain reapplied. Of course a minor chip adds character!

Has about 20 hours and had not burrned off but has picked up a slight green tint to it where the top gets hoter than the side.

Saturday Finds

Postby Lazybones » Sat Dec 17, 2011 9:02 pm

I went to Ukiah today looking for lanterns and found a couple of things.
This 228F 4-66 Lantern. That just happens to be my Birthday Lantern. The odds of that were so small, that I had to buy it.
Image

I also found this 1958 Canadian 4-M with a full tank of fuel for $5.00.
Image

I decided to pump it up and after a few sputters she lit for me!

Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? Ask yourself these simple questions every time you are in doubt about any action.
