Its always good to have a math teacher on board. Please no complex word problems. I was and still am slow at math. But you are correct and Randy was over or he would have won.

I dont know why it always has to be " without going over" . I did do one contest -- just the closest and It kind of confused everyone so I went back to the old standard.

No worries, I surely do not want you to stop having the contests because of a math curmudgeon dragging you down. They are so much fun, even if we didn't have a prize. If I ever get one in the wild real cheap I would do just that. Some people would jump really high for that.
