does it have to be coleman?
Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? Ask yourself these simple questions every time you are in doubt about any action.

So, I have a 2 burner I picked up at a local thrift shop. Gonna get it all spruced up and entered. I haven't even tried lighting it yet. This could be my motivation to get it done. :)

As long as it is a two burner stove, I would be ok with it. I know there are others out there, the Coleman just seem to be easier to get.

After some archeological digging all I came up with is 4 propane stoves and one modern 1 burner multi fuel Coleman. :(

I started a 2D this weekend....but that's gonna be a resto, not a custom one. I've got maybe 4 to pick from for a custom....some are real beaters, all are in pieces. :( Doug

Sorry, I was out camping this weekend. It was great. But my 425 that I always use decided to crap out. Maybe I will customize it! I was given a rough one that did light up. Maybe I'll use that, cause it really needs help.

If you have another brand of gas camp stove I see no reason it could not be used. But everyone will know who entered it. That could be good or bad for you.

Okay, I picked up a 2 burner stove just for this here contest. Then I realized - I have no idea what to do with it.

Ha! I'm going to have to think about it for a bit.

At this point, I think I'm 'in' but I have no idea what I'm gonna do. :)

Alright, it's starting to look like we will get enough participation. This is going to be fun. As for what to do with them anything goes What would you do with a hotrod if you were building one? Nice shiney custom or rat rod? Jacked up 4x4 or lowrider? Nascar style, Indy or Drag strip? Favorite team colors? Cammo? Tie-dye? panel paint? lace? Maybe something to fit the theme of your camper. Or how about your favorite cartoon character. The sky is the limit. Drilling, cutting and welding are ok as long as the stove still closes. Anyone have the stuff to punch louvres?

Sounds like we have some interesting ideas flying around. Mine is not as creative but we will see. My regular camp stove is an old 425 so this project will make for a custom stove I will carry with me. So to all those entering, I say "Let loose the Hounds" and man the best stove win!
