Ok Im done now. Sorry to rain on Christmas.

I'm sorry I just gotta love this guy he has my attitude about Christmas.

And a happy Bah Hum Bug back at ya Kirk !

Pretty much my attitude also. But probably a bit more humbugish. ( hey I invented a new word ) and I try to avoid town between Thanksgiving and Dec 27th or so. The traffic is often crazy.

I just found out the wife scoured the internet trying to find me my "Birthday" lantern but was unsuccessful in finding one before Christmas.

Too bad she didn't find it, but "WOO HOO" for her liking the Coleman stuff !!

We will eat meatloaf, Pepperage Farm Cake with m&m's and have snorts from a hip flask. It will be glorious.

I await the Miracles of Festivus!

I feel the same way about Christmas...it's just marketing hype and greed, for the most part.

We need to lead a revolt. At least at our own campfire.

I have Coleman under my tree (ok, it's new, LED, and I unwrapped it at the work party 2 weeks ago..but who cares...I might be getting the batteries for Christmas!! Then the fun begins!!!)

When asked what I wanted, it was all practical stuff or camping related. Like travel Scrabble. It goes in the tear. Or the car. Or the scooter. D cell batteries was another one on my list. DO cookbook.

It's not like I asked for a waffle dog iron or anything!!

batteries are an easy find...travel Scrabble comes from B&N. Probably Toys Be Us, but only a seriously deranged person would go there now to look for it! Better to wrap a box with a note inside saying "Good for One Travel Scrabble Game"

DO cookbook?? I know I'm not getting that. Bummer. I'll have to contact my cousin in Grass Valley and get some good scout recipes. They are a very active scouting family. I'll share! I promise!!

If your looking for the meaning of Christmas - come and be with us at Christmas - we are serving the homeless and the needy for Christmas lunch. We (my family) did the same thing for Thanksgiving. I also had the joy of providing a Christmas for 53 children and 28 seniors in a nursing facility last Monday. Tuesday night we partnered with another nursing home to take the residents out to a holiday light park. I like Christmas because of the gift giving - giving of ourselves to others.

I do not have a Coleman table but have a J.C. Higgins table and it looks just like the Coleman. I hope it will be OK to put my Coleman stuff on it if I ever get to go camping. It has been only two years since I took out my itty bitty camping.
