I've got the T&TTT cookbook...I want to figure out some really good stuff so I can donate a recipe for the next one.

I was just in wrapping gifts for my Mom...she just retired today. So she's going to do a little camping with me..and she's getting some Coleman too! But it takes batteries: a headlamp and a flashlight where the beam is adjustable. She's getting other stuff too, but those are her camping gifts.

Re: the true meaning of Christmas: the day before yesterday we got a call mid-day from a patient who said her mother (in her 80's with a bit of dementia) left her upper denture where the dog could get it...and it got eaten (the dog ate my denture! Honest!) Keep in mind that 13 months ago the same thing happened to the upper and lower. So...it usually takes at least 3 weeks to properly fabricate a denture. And multiple appointments. The doctors, lab, and I busted our buns to get the denture properly made....and delivered to her at noon today. 48 hour turn around. Now she can smile at her family on Christmas and enjoy the great food. It was heartwarming. It's what makes working with people and helping them every day rewarding. It was awesome. Until I asked how the bite felt....and she had no idea where her lower denture was! Didn't even remember having it when she left the office the night before!!

Oh well. We tried. At least she has upper teeth to smile with. And if the blasted dog didn't get it, she may just find her teeth and be able to eat Christmas dinner yet!

Hope I didn't gross anyone out by talking teeth here.... 8)

The lower had a bite out of it but we smoothed it off. But now she lost it. The upper....gone. even if she found it the next day...... it would be too late...(so if teeth didn't gross you out, dog doody and teeth will!!)

Yesterday we got a call from a guy who lost his upper partial. Guess what: the dog ate it. Clearly I had a very funny week....I feel so bad for these people, and I warn them about letting these things anywhere near pets due to the chewing issue...but "my dog doesn't do that" or "my dog can't get on the counter"

My brother's labs couldn't open the refrigerator and open bottles of soda, either.

Dogs love them.
Some times they can be salvaged if not too chewed up.

I have a cat - which is useless for for anything - but she is a good companion and won't eat any dentures

I like cats. I'm allergic, but I like them. They don't drool. They don't bark at everything. They don't raid the food.

And they don't chew dentures!!

Waiting for "what a thread hijack!"

It's a campfire. Sit down, grab a marshmallow, and join in...or bring up something else...

like 'did you see the Bernz-o-matic lanterns on the other thread?? Who has some???' I kinda like those!!

Lit up a few that I collected over the summer. I need to find more time. There are another 50 pieces to go.

Can't see the flames because of the flash but it's a runner.

Nice collection you got going there WB.

I got my first 3 burner 2 weeks ago. A near mint 426B. Found it in the wild.

I also like your KampLite. I have 2 AGM single mantles that I have yet to get going.

AGM's can be a bit fussy - especially if the lower end is crudded up - gotta take the entire valve out to give a good cleaning :x

I am getting fuel, but i usually can't get the generators to seal up with the jam nut. These are the little short fat generators. A bit like me but not as tall. And if i do get them sealed up they put out way to much fuel.

There isn't enough tube to put more of a flare on them either.

Maybe someday I will get them figured out.

Did anybody see this song done by Gasman64 (Steve) over at CCF?
to the turn of Winter Wonderland.

Lanterns hiss-are you listening?

Thorium; it is glistening

Such brilliant white light, with naptha tonight

Walking in a Coleman wonderland

Funnels clink, fuel is pouring

Oh those lamps, so alluring!

The globes and the shades,

Such soft light is made,

Walking in a Coleman wonderland

Maybe later we can build a snowman

We can laugh and call it Murff or Ed

They will shout and ask us, "Found an arc yet?"

Well maybe, guys, sometime before we're dead!

Later on, by the fire

We'll discuss hollow wire

Such brilliant white light, with naptha tonight

Walking in a Coleman wonderland

(I thought this up at work last night)

Done by Gasman64 (Steve)
