The Dang Gang (Dam Gathering thread)

Lanterns, stoves, etc... anything old!

I now officially have short timers. I cant stay focused at work. I just see myself fishing at lake shasta with a 1 pound pumpkinseed bluegill bending my pole till it almost breaks. And using alcohol and zingers as currency.

Sorry..."fish fry" to me means feeding many...not just cooking up a couple. Like I said...sometimes we get some fish from the derby people. It's usually after the derby is over....late Sat.

Kirk..when are you bugging out?? I'm leaving as soon as I get loaded up in the morning...before 6:30 I hope...want to beat commute traffic in Sacto.

The Grasshopper is hitched up and out front..with a big note on the steering wheel to take the tire lock off before driving!!!

See you tomorrow noonish...if anyone sees a Grasshopper on the road it's most likely me...if it's towed by a white Ranger..it IS me!

All I can say is it was the best camping trip I have ever taken. Best group of people I have ever experienced. My only mistake is that I waited to long to become a teardropper. Thanks to you all. I will be back.

Oh yea, for anybody who has doubt about waffle dogs - They do exist and they are fantastic. Just sayin.

Glad you had a good time Kirk. It was great to finally meet both you and Dragonfire. I'm looking forward to future campouts with you both. Kirk has some great stories...alas...what happens at the Dam, stays at the dam....next time...don't camp so far away, same for you Dragonfire. Doug

Just finished unpacking, got home about an hour ago. Had a great time visiting with old friends and making new ones. The gathering did start out with some rain, however it quit in time to have a good 3 days of great camping weather. It's always good to meet members from this forum at gatherings and put faces to names.
Kirk (CampmasterK) and Dragonfire are now more than just a name in this box for me. It was great camping with you both, and I look forward to the next time.
Well, time to go find something to eat and then start on the mountain of laundry and dirty dishes.

Kevin.....
