Man that lantern really sucks. You should send that kero burner to me for proper disposal. Free, you just pay the shipping.

They are very cool looking lanters! Looks lik a 200A on steroids to me.

As to shipping it to you. I don't dislike it that much.

I think we need to make a road trip to Canada and pick up some of those neat lanterns they have. Shipping out of Canada is just nuts.

Nice lantern Lee...for bent burner assemblies on founts...I just hold it in the vice, screw the burner assembly into it and pull on the top. Usually the fount tops will pop right out on them, back to the original position. Doug

That's what I did Doug.
The top of the fount is still bent though. it was bent over so bad the valve cover ring actually left a crease. Being bent as far as it was I feel pretty good with the outcome.

Well I am back in action. I had a horrible flu for a week!
I have a few goodies to show.

First I have been doing a little fix up work on my 413 G. I have decided that it is to far gone to make it show room so I am making it a worker. I made some paint to match and brushed some paint in the bottom area. It just nuts to spray $50 in auto paint on a $5 stove that will never be worth more that $8. Its looking much better and will be a great user.

I got this 228 at the boot fair for $5.
Image

I paid to much for this 200A.

Image

I found this in one of my finds.

I got this 425D at the bootfair $5. It is great shape but no tank.

Image

And I bought my 4th gal of Juice $8.99 at local ace hardware! -- -- keep in mind I have not been camping since I have been a keeper!

Here's a couple I recently picked up - the 220 came with the case and funnel, however, I'll have to find a new vent for the 228.

I also decided to light up two 200As and my 242B, really put some light out on the patio.

Earl - leave that 228 alone and light it up! - put it in the teardrop and bring with you on camping trips - since the ventilator is already chipped you won't be worried about it. Nice finds

Kirk....take that 413G and paint it up to be a 442 Clone. That's my plan for a free one that I picked up. Doug

I'm working on my vintage metal jack stands...using the toilet bowl cleaner method. One stand has soaked in a bucket with hot water and the toilet cleaner from the Dollar Tree and has been scrubbed, pb blasted, rinsed and is in the sun drying.

The other is in the bucket soaking now.

The corrosion on the galvanized metal cleaned up great on the first one. It was also rusted in place, but between the hot soak, wire brush and pb blaster, it's working again.

I'm going to prime and paint the bottom of the stand and also the top rest (that part mostly to inhibit rust) but am wondering what to do about the threads. They are still a bit rusty, but I've been working them with the pb blaster and scrubbing. But even if I get them all clean, how am I going to keep them from rusting again?

I should have taken pictures of the stands before...but they were so embarrassing. I got them with the Aristocrat, and there are still 2 more under that rig, and I forgot about these 2 in the cargo bay. I'm going to fix up all 4 for the Grasshopper, painted to match, of course (gold bond color).

Maybe I'll take a pic of the one soaking before I scrub so you get an idea...this one has regular 'barnacles' on the base!
