Just saw someone in a green Honda Element here in the Roseville/Sacramento area with a Coleman sticker in their back window...anyone know who it is? A collector on the prowl??

Sold the Aristocrat. I'm teardrop only now.

There's a big hole in the driveway where a trailer used to sit..almost didn't recognize the house when coming back from a party a few minutes ago..can actually park in the driveway...

Good news is that I will have my Grasshopper here within the next few weeks. I can get ready (finally) to camp with you guys...

I didn't really want to sell that trailer, but had to. It sucks. But it will be worth it when I arrive at the Dam Gathering. I'll finally be living the dream I've had for 6 years. I keep telling myself I'm moving forward.

Glad I found you all, and the teardrop lifestyle. Much better than dealing with blackwater issues.

Congratulations!! :applause:
Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? Ask yourself these simple questions every time you are in doubt about any action.

Right now...take me out and shoot me. I feel horrible. But I love my teardrop and I know that's the way to go. KISS method. And with the Grasshopper I will still rock the 70's look. Saw the movie RV..with Robin Williams. The whole scene with the black water in the beginning scared the black water out of me..I know it's a comedy but it rang a little too true...I was thanking the teardrop gods that I had the wisdom to go to the other side and go teardrop. Now I don't have to worry about 'crap' like that anymore!!

Biggest hurdle now...finding the Ranger I want. And getting over selling my pride and joy.

Don't worry, you'll get over it. I kinda had sellers remorse on 3 of my tears, but they all went to good homes and I got over it. For me, I still get to camp with those trailers from time to time and I can see just how gracefully they will age, or not. Jerome's trailer is 7 this summer and sorry Delores....the hatch on it hasn't lost any weight! Doug

i just wish I could have restored it and used it like I planned. But I'll get the Grasshopper over here in a couple weeks...gotta wait for the cover and get a tire lock for it. Then I'll be super busy cleaning it and outfitting it for travel. I'm going to try to sneak some insulation in behind the lower cargo area in the galley...it's the only place I can get to without skinning it. And I might have that done next year over winter to check for hidden problems, add insulation, and seal her back up. I'll just see how things go.

I'm looking forward to driveway camping. Gotta go buy an empty propane tank and get painting. I found some Coleman stickers I can use, I think. Turn that sucker into a giant Coleman propane canister!

I'll be roasting marshmallows out front in no time! :campfire:

Very true...I'm one step closer to having everything together for the Dam Gathering..next big thing is going after a tv. I've got the cover and chock lock ordered, I'm waiting for some answers on what lug nut lock will work..Took all the tape and plastic off the cantilever table and cleaned it up, ready to get tried out during driveway camping...but I can't find my coffee pot. Or the French Press. May have to go back to Rosevillle/Lincoln to that outdoor store to pick up a French Press I saw there.

Selling the trailer was a major step forward...I keep reminding myself of the scene in the movie "RV" where the Robin Williams character is dealing with dumping the black water tank....and I'm so thankful I saw the wisdom to downsize to a teardrop. Anything 'wrong' with tent camping is solved by having the tear!

So show me some new Coleman, everyone...I can't work on the new trailer yet and it's too cold for me to paint anything (like another jack stand..or a propane tank...) so you need to cheer me up somehow!!

I have new stuff. But I don't have a computer at home so y'all have to wait. Well not a real comp. I guess what I mean is - not my computer. :D

did you post anything new yet? Just got on and got sidelined by the guy with the cool 39 tear wanting to know about license plates. I read between the lines on the last post...get pictures up when you can or at least tell us about it if it's really cool...keep us checking back for pics.

Otherwise you will end up with pictures of my empty driveway, my turd colored cooler, my finished cantilever table for the tear, and a gold jack stand. Maybe a picture of my dinner...a toas-tite.

That ought to get people posting. Threats like that usually work!
