We are going to cook braised baby backs in onion and garlic with a secret apricot bbq sauce. Ruths Chris sweet potato pie. And our very own recipe for apple/caramel cobbler. Did I mention that we won last year? 8)

I have been doing cookoffs for years. Last year we decided to win. Sugar, salt, fat. The winning combo of any good cookoff.

I been using pliers for years. When not dutch ovening ( new word ) They go back in the tool bag for other purposes. I sometimes use welders gloves which is ok as I do weld ( not professionally any more ) and sometimes I even use welders gloves there. Most of the times just use leather gloves. Those are also a lot more multipurpose.

The science channel has a show called Inside The Design. There is an episode on Coleman lanterns and Coleman stoves. I have not seen it but my brother saw it and said it was great. Inside the Coleman factory and all that.

I would think twice about the aluminum, it transmits heat very well. put an insulating handle on it? Or I have no idea of just what you are thinking about. Or you have already tried it and it works for you.

Well...I kinda did. I haven't bonded with it much, though...since I saw it, went back a month later and got it, and have only seen it 3 times since October. Now I keep going outside to look at it. I can't wait to wash it and restock it with my stuff..vintage melmac in the cooler, etc.

There is a smell..some kind of Fabreeze or something air freshener like..I'm allergic to it. I aired out one cushion, and now have the large one airing out...the carpet smells fine..but the back rest cushions have that same smell. I had the windows open in storage, but the smell is still there. I'll vacuum when it's not raining, and wipe down all the hard surfaces. I don't know how to get the smell out..but it has to go before the Dam Gathering or I'll be sleeping in my backpacker's tent next to the trailer!

I love my little trailer. I just need to get moving on getting it all ready for the Dam. Only a few weeks away!!
