Thanks for the Warren Zevon link...a great musician...and a real memory to me as well.

Hope your troubles are over, Kirk.

My first resto's 413G, 200A, and griswald #5 cooking! These things all came together for my supper/breakfast tonight and it was astounding!

Hey Kirk..maybe the lady who punched someone was the same chick who punched me at the gas station Saturday! Now there is a story!

I have the DO liners and I've heard they are great for baked goods..but I'm too lazy to use them! I'll try them with something eventually...I've heard they are great for stuff like that.

Meanwhile, now I'm thinking of doing DO chicken this weekend. Just not sure what 'style'..thinking of Hawaiian with rice, but will ponder some more...do have some good stuff to throw in it...

Or maybe I'll take the DO to a pot luck on Easter!!

Liners are great for pizza. Once it's all done...you can lift it out easily, and you have to lift it out. Even if you cooked on the lid, it still needs to be removed from the hot iron or it keeps cooking and burns it. Ask me how I know! :( Doug

Good idea!! DO pizza sounds really good. I should make up some dough and try it...or do it the lazy way and hit Raley's or Bel-aire (local grocery chain) for some pre-made fresh dough..or Winco has it (Pacific Northwest chain) or Whole Foods (but that might be too healthy! ) for some fresh dough.

Still want to try sourdough bread in the DO. I could live on that stuff. As long as I put limes in my rum, I should be good. Sounds like a British Navy diet or something...

Maybe Kirk and Dough can do a DO clinic at the Dam...interesting things like tips on pizza/bread/meat dishes (I want to learn how to make carnitas!) with a couple DOs going ...not everyone will be able to cook like you guys. If Lee goes he can throw his 2 cents worth in...he was killing me last August with pictures of cinnamon rolls and such..

With all the DO talent out there at the Dam...I'd never attempt to give any sort of a lesson. Kirk is accomplished and you haven't meet Dean Hubbard yet. He's a wizard at it and has a ton of videos out there. Doug

I was jesting a bit with canno about the liners. But they really are for sissies! If you use them its cool I guess? The truth is I have never tried them. A dutch oven is a living thing, you kind of get to know it and its personality. Using a liner in one is like using a dental dam, you are touching but not really. Maybe if I tried it I would like them.

I want to hear the Drangonfire getting punched story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Raise your hand if you want to hear the story.

I guess I'll have to tell you...but....

Kirk, what do you know about dental dams?? You think that pus pouring out of a tooth is fake?? Pulling a white, elastic nerve out of a tooth with a tiny rat tail file is for wimps? That means the nerve is still fairly alive..not totally necrotic...

How about when the patient isn't totally numb due to the severity of the infection...and they have to take the needle right into the open pulp chamber..and feel every bit of it?

Yeah, that's when I'm thinking of what I can cook in the DO to share at teardrop potlucks...root canals are boring. But I do love to see some good purulent drainage from a tooth!!

Oh...sorry....we were talking about DO liners..
