My old Coleman

Postby Lazybones » Sun Feb 08, 2009 11:13 am

I finally found my old 242C Coleman lantern yesterday. Marked 8 48 on the bottom.
I'ts been out in the grage for 20 years. The poor thing had about 3/8" of dust covering the top. I think the can of fuel is at leat 20 years old also.

My old boss gave this to me about 25 years ago' box and all.
These aren't the best pictures but better than nothing.

I cleaned off the dust, pumped it up, and it lit right up.

Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? Ask yourself these simple questions every time you are in doubt about any action.
