Go Garage sale ing. Lots yet to be found.

I have not run across much old stuff but keep hopen to find a waffel Iron.

We did find a Coleman camping table. They used it like twice. got it for 75 and it was well worth it.

We try and go ever sat. we go later the hard core types are out early and price drop a little as the day moves on. But if you do go early there is more to choose from. Just ignor that guy that is looking at you like this :x as you reach for that one thing he wants to bid them down for.

I sold a guy 2 chairs once and he came back looking for the other 2 two days later. which I did have but could not find but he was so insistant I knew I defintly would never find them. (found months later) but if you remain positive and stay :D happy you will find gold and not feel pressured by other shoppers nor sellers that wanted to much money for what they had. At this sale the mans house was up for sale and his neighbors had to sell the stuff for him. The money went to a better life where people could take care of him.

At a true Garage Sale you will find not only things for future camps, you may find a bakesale, a new freind, or someone who always wanted to build there own camping trialer. Or they might do duch oven cooking too.

This did not happen at a garage sale but it could have.....
The last time I went camping a guy came up and said I had the type he liked best and was going to make one like mine. I tole him about T&TTT and he said he had bin to the site and told him where he could find my gallery.

Ron, rummaging is my way of life. Everything Coleman, cast iron or camping related stuff I own came from garage sales. Finding that one thing that you have been looking for is almost a HIGH, and you feel rewarded after it is home. Keep looking, that waffle iron will show up when you least expect it. Watch the flea markets too!
Happy Hunting,
Steve

The old yard-saler's adage, 'you never know what you might find' keeps me stopping at yard sales. We've been wanting an old upright cooler for some time, but I just won't pay Ebay prices. But, every day, I'd check my saved searches just to window shop, check out any new ones that might be listed. While we were picking our way around a flea market this past Sunday near Pittsburgh, I turned a corner and spotted her, under a table and crowded behind some junk. She ain't pretty, but she's going to be a cherished member of our camping gear family. Five bucks later, we were hustling her out to the car and snickering like a couple of freshmen in study hall.

I have one of those up rights also. Found it at a Garage sale. Not sure how to post a picture but I had it out to take measurements with my frame to help determine the depth of my Galley. Well I have no idea how to get a picture into this post so you will have to take my word for it. Bill
