Please help me find another lantern like this!

Postby 2bits » Wed Mar 31, 2010 11:45 pm

Hey guys, Julie suggested I post this and it seemed like a good idea. I've had this circa 1976 big square battery powered incandescent bulb lantern since I was a little kid so it is pretty sentimental. I have been using it as my only light in the teardrop except for my new one on the other side which is florescent (ugly light). It is 12" Tall. I found a really cool vintage one on ebay but it was too tall :(

I would love to find another old one like or similar to the one I already have so if anyone happens to comes across one, please let me know!

Thanks!

I have one, and didn't even know it was "vintage". I use mine when I camp, too.

Ahhhh I was calling it a lantern not a lamp, I guess because that was the catagory. I really like the yellow one but I think having a matching blue one (for half the price) would be cooler. I really like the soft light and battery power of these not to mention to have kept it for so long. Thanks again!

got two

Postby doitright » Thu Apr 01, 2010 10:04 pm

I have two orange ones. I like the light but the batteries are somewhat pricey. I have used them a time or two but when the battery went bad I did not replace them. We now just use a small led light in the camper.
