425 B stove

Postby starleen2 » Fri Apr 30, 2010 9:19 pm

Oh yeah BABee - a friend of mine called me from a rummage sale he was at and told me I HAD to come quick. When I did - this is what awaited me: a 425 B stove – New in Box! Mint and NEVER burned – even got the manual, warning placard, warranty card, and sales brochure – for the sum of $20.00.

And even got a Coleman Western Knife thrown in:

Great find and great deal. I bought mine decades ago. If memory serves me well, I didn't pay much more than that new then. It has worked flawlessly for me. It's absolutely 100% reliable. Enjoy your memories about to begin.

I picked up the same model a few years ago. The one I bought looked like it had been used a couple of times.

Seems like I paid $15 for mine, but had to pay 10 shipping

I oiled up the pump leather (real leather then) and replaced the gasket in the filler cap and it goes and goes.

Indeed! That's a terrific piece!

Again, congrats on such a nice find!

Scott... as I mentioned in "the other" thread... that stove would be the perfect companion to my '56 and '62 200As...

What's it gonna take...

Great find. I love this old Coleman stuff. I just picked up another 502 stove to restore for my son this morning. It would have been nice to find a new stove in the box as you have.
