Another project... Finished

Postby rainjer » Tue Jun 08, 2010 8:57 pm

Tonight I decided to build some prototype reflector handles for my lanterns. I just used some scrap aluminum and leftover reflective tubing from my solar tube skylight.

This one will fit my 200A, 202, 242 or my Sears lanterns.

This one is for the 220's. The lower leg is too short on this one so I need to revise it.

Those look good Jeremy. Reflectors are nice to have and I like the style you're using.

As I said, these were just prototypes. I have already figured out a couple changes I am going to make on the next attempt. It only took me an hour to make both to this point. The final priduct will be made out if 1/8" X 3/4" aluminum stock.

I finished making my reflector today. It cost me $8.00 to make. I piece of 1/8" X 3/4" aluminium stock and a box of rivets. I had the reflector material and the dowel for the handle.

As you can see I did make a few modification from my prototype.
