Cool, a nickel font 500. I have a green 500 that burns pretty good.

Not cleaned up like yours.

Nice job on the one lunger. Did you use high temp paint and cure it in the oven? If not the nice paint job won't last too long. Had that problem with my 325E stove. I have been looking for a toaster oven in thrift stores for curing paint.

I did use VHT silver and i cured it in the oven per the instructions. I'm just waiting a little bit before i set it on fire. Hopefully the paint will do its job.

I did but i found that the graphite packing in the selector switch is no longer any good so i need to replace it before I can really use it.

I haven't been "oven curing" any of my paint VHT or otherwise....just let it sit for a week or so...no problems with any of it lifting. Some of the rattle can stuff takes longer than the others, Rustoleum oil based gives a better gloss rather than the Krylon I've found. Takes longer to dry though. Doug
