Whew. The dry spell finally ended. My new 228D made the 2nd half of 1950. I love the big hats and chrome! Oiled the pump, new mantles and a little bit of chrome polish (still needs more polishing) and lit right up.

That's a Nice one Dawn, congrats! My 228s are some of my favorites too 
I still haven't managed to get any nickle fount lanterns and hang onto them lol.
