I had mentioned in a previous thread that I had put a mica globe on a 242...here it is. It's a '41 242B...the globe really keeps people guessing as to just how old it is. I think they were made for the original 242's but by the B series had gone to pyrex. It wasn't all that much more than a replacement red label globe in price and saves the original from breakage. This lantern is one of my main burners with the Voyager, the other is a color coordinated 228. Doug

I remember you mentioning that awhile back too Doug. Thanks for the pic, I like that look a lot. I've got a 242 project planned and a mice globe would be a perfect addition.
I have to ask, is that a Fred Kuntz one, or another source?
