I finally had a chance to fire up my 242 this weekend at Sam Brown Campground.
I'm seeing two issues I need to deal with.
When I pressurize the fount, I have to keep my thumb over the tiny hole and close the pump to keep pressure in the tank. If I take my thumb off of the hole on the pump before closing the pump valve... All the pressure just bleeds right out.
Another problem I noticed was when I went to shut it down...
It appears that the main valve won't completely close.
When I try to shut the lantern down, it will keep burning, but will pulsate very slowly. It's like the flame starts to go out, but just before it does, it's like it gets just a little blast of fuel and starts the shut down procedure all over and that cycle will just keep repeting itself.
Let me guess... I need a new back pressure valve and parts to rebuild the main valve, right?
