My saturday find. Anybody have one.

Today I hit a few sales on the way home from work. A guy had bought this at an estate sale. Said he was told the guy loved to go fishing with this stuff. This stuff was well used. Kinda well loved in a hard way.

A coleman 425 and a table. There is also a funnel and a few parts.
The cap has been replaced but the original is still there. There is also a fuel tube. What does that go to? The stove lit right up.
I have not seen to many of these tables if any. How old is it? Any ideas?
Any ideas on where to get coleman green color paint, please?
The best part he wanted $15.00. I went home and took my nap(slept on it)
woke up thinking about. Went back and offered him $10.00 for the whole thing.SOLD :applause: :applause:

Neat combination...did you get the legs for the table? just not seeing them. That might be a fun item to build this winter. For paint...use either the Krylon or Rustoleum hunter green, both are acceptable matches. Nice find! Doug

There was someone on the Coleman forum selling the chairs that go in that table.

Believe it or not, I just sold one of those tables. I picked it up at an estate sale, in the original box for $15. Circa 1955. It was almost perfect. Still had the rubber feet on the legs. I didnt need it in my camper, and it did take up room, so I decided to sell it. Did very well on it! Would have been nice to keep it, but.........

Thanks for the pics and the info Dobyman. Boy what a clean one you had.
I wonder if the ruber feet can still be purchased. And it"s nice to see what it looked like as a set. Kinda low to the ground. Where did you list yours to sell it?
Thanks Keith

Thats another reason I sold it. @ 210 pounds, Im not sure if those stools would even hold me and if they did, I'd never get back up!  I sold it on Ebay. Thats where you will usually get the best price for something. Either there or antique flea markets.

Thanks Keith

I'd doubt that they can still be found...however, back in the 70's I used a product called Dip-N-Grip...made for tool handles...a quick google of them shows that it's now a hand ball item. You might try www.plastidip.com I'd bet it's a similar product, maybe several coats would do the trick to coat those steel ends on the legs. Just an idea. Doug

Wow! What a great deal!

If it is a clear, soft plastic sort-of fuel tube, a couple of inches long, my aluminum Coleman funnel has a tube like that attached to the tip of it.

Argh! Dobyman! I was born in '55! I'd love to one at least one of them, if not two.

These tables are the coolest. I'd like to find one, and a three-burner stove, too.
