Local Flea Market Finds

Postby PresTx82 » Wed Jan 19, 2011 8:39 pm

I was reading one of the earlier posts regarding Ebay and other sites jacking up prices for Coleman products making it hard for the collector to find good deals, so I decided to hit one of the local flea markets in my area. I'm usually not a flea market person but today I certainly had a good time. Here's what followed me home today:

Actually, one of these is an American Gas Lantern. It looks military and has US on the globe and bottom of the font. No dates. Anyone know how to tell the dates off hand?

Only one of these lit up tonight, so the others need some work. One in particular looks like it was buried in the ground after it caught fire. I can't wait to tear it down, rebuild, and paint it.

Here's the break down

1. Coleman 200A
2. Coleman 220E
3. Coleman 220K
4. Coleman 220E
5. AGM Lantern

Well, I got to go and hide these in the garage for my wife comes home.

The AGM looks like a a early an early Milspec. I would guess 1943-1944.

I did find a gay looking blue Coleman iron for $45.00 at the flea market also. I didn't buy it because I'm not into those. After looking on eBay, I'm sure its too much for it. The Bay had a few for $6.00 to $9.00.

Straight iron! That's right.

Seriously, that blue color on those irons is a little "light".
