Weekend finds and Lantern count. w/pictures

But before I show off my finds I want to show you this. Its a 200 that was a basket case. Lots of rust and a big dent in the fount. I like 200s so I got out the crash cart and brought it back to life. it is hard to see here but I used hammered finish red to help hide the dent, its a good little work horse now.

The sticker is not correct, but its what I had. Its needs the yellow banded one.

I got this stove a a flea market. I asked the guy how much and he said $3, and then said " I should have said $5. " I said, yes you should have as I handed him the $3. We both laughed.

I got several others, I paid $5 or less for. Some were junk and some were ok. I figure any lantern with good glass is worth $5. So my collecting is building.

Just a shot of a 220f that I bought back to life.

Thanks for looking.

Looks like you're having a good time with it all. Ya know...you can also do bondo on the tanks for any dents. 3$ for a stove in that condition, looks like a daily user...great! Doug

You are right Doug its fun. They are not long term projects, so for me its very relaxing to work on them.

Just wait Kirk....there are so many wild things out there in terms of gas pressure stuff.....you're just starting...like I said before, don't get mired in all the stuff that's easy to come by, you can always get that. The fun jumps up big time with more unusual items, keep your eyes peeled for the really old items. Doug

Doug do you dabble in Thermos or other brands? I saw a Thermos in fair cont. That I think I could get cheap. Are there parts for the off brands?
