At Sportsmans Warehouse I found a Hot Dog Iron that will do three corn dogs or whatever kind of batter you want. No waffle print but seems pretty cool. I got one and will report back. 15bucks.

This is a classic moment for us, repeated in history over and over. The haves and the have nots.

The Bourgeois vs Proletariat. Are we better off as a society because there is a shortage of waffledog irons. I think so . Its what make the world go round.

I see the the cast iron thread posts have stopped for a while (Dec 23rd) . Maybe It proved to be too elitist with all the high priced waffle dogers.

As soon as I get off of my "death bed", I'll see how much "reproduction" waffle dog irons will cost. They will be, because of using a real waffle dog iron as a pattern and the shrinkage of molten aluminum, about 1% smaller.

Only a true waffle dog perfectionist will be able to tell the difference.

Cheers,

Gus

Now I need to find 'Sportsmans Warehouse'... last I saw there was one in AZ...

ok..I've been eyeing some stuff on the Rome website for awhile. I'm going to get the commoner's waffle dog iron. If I do get a waffle print one some day I'll still keep my commoner's roots..didn't you say it cooks 3 vs 2???

As it is, I use toas-tites. just got my 5th this week. They are getting pricy too..up to $80 for something so simple.

Coleman Keepers Rome-dog club. Waffle doggers need not apply!!!

Kirk...you are crazy..but a good crazy.

Dragonfire - there is a Sportsmans Warehouse in Roseville. Off of 65 take blue oaks drive. Just on the other side of 65 from the Galleria Shopping Center.

Take care if you go there . They have the biggest DO and CI section I have seen in a retail store in Ca. LOTS of camping stuff. Bring several hundred dollars on your first trip. 8)

A rose by any other name still smells as sweet. It does'nt have to look like a waffle to taste like a waffle. I have seen those. I think they would work just fine. Plus they cook three at a time

I think you'll find that in one of those dog 'n brat cookers that it will barely fit a 10 count hot dog in it, 8 counts are tight and forget trying to put a Johnsonville brat in one....no room for batter with any dog in it. Got one. Doug

Should still be able to make desert waffles or how about those little breakfast sausage links? I have yet to cook any hotdogs in mine yet. I like the little sausages and or twix candy bars. I have not gotten around to the blue barries and creamcheese yet. But soon.
