Thermos Lantern

Postby nrody » Tue Feb 07, 2012 6:56 pm

I found a Thermos Lantern (1970's) at an estate sale the other day. Model 8626. It's missing the handle and globe. Says it burns "any gasoline". Any suggestions where to get the missing parts?

You sure that is not an 8326? It takes a tapered globe. I do not know if the Coleman 275 will fit. If not one can make a globe out and metal screen. A handle can be made from good stiff wire. Some steel rod for oxy/acetylene welding might work. Can also ask on the International Coleman Collectors forum, no need to join the club, just need to join the forum.

Your correct 8326. I never thought about using Screen for the globe. Guess I have to think outside the box.
