The one that got away

Anybody have any stories of the one that got away, as far as vintage camping equipment? I was at a swap meet(automtive stuff, mostly circle track race car junk). Don't even know why I go other than to get out of the house and catch up with old friends. One booth had an old ice cream maker (I assume to make a quart or so), glanced at it never gave much thought other than kind of an odd item for an auto swap meet. Left and stopped for lunch on the other side of town, thought should go back and see what he is asking, nah, have to find a parking place, kind of short of cash, etc. Been kicking myself ever since. Not really specific camping equipment, but. It was a wood bucket crank type, didn't look close enough to tell if it was complete, the wood bucket appeared to be about the size of a gallon bucket, the crank mechanism was enclosed with a cast housing, would have been the perfect size for the teardrop and just enough ice cream for two. Guess I will have to find fleamarkets in my area.
Anybody else have stories vintage stuff they let slip through their fingers.
If I could shut my brain off, I could save myself alot of time, money and effort.
