Pictures or parts needed for 1924 coleman camp stove

Postby mvperini » Mon Mar 05, 2012 8:55 pm

I am going to restore my 1924 model 2 Coleman Campstove, there are a few pieces missing on the lid, i am looking for replacement parts or pictures of the pieces that make up the top in case i have to make new pieces. this stove has the swing out tank and a lever that pulls the burner unit to the center of the stove

I sent you a PM on that Mike...I'm thinking that was on e-bay...funny how it's missing those parts as the wings had to have the hinge pin punched on it to remove them. Someone probably got tired of playing around with them as they don't always fold up all that great. You're probably missing 7 pieces given what's in that picture. The hole in the lid is the clue that it had the oven on it. The top and front for the oven box, the right end pieces (2) and 1 has a latch, left end piece, oven grate and the diffuser plate. Give me some time and I'll get some pics for you. I"m missing the oven grate on my #1. From what I've seen, they are pretty much identical. You might try this site for some other pics. Doug

thanks Doug, i found the pictures of the stoves and mine is close to the one in the pictures, but not quite the same. i agree the lid is missing the pieces to make an oven, but if i had a pattern to follow i could make them with my plazma cutter and all the old coleman stove parts that i have. as for the measurements of the stove, quite small the lid is 17x11 inches

Do you have access to a leaf break? You'd need it to put the flanges on the sides of some of the parts. Without it, they are really going to be floppy. I'll diagram up some stuff and take some pics this weekend. Doug
