Lanterns, stoves, etc... anything old!

thermos lantern

I found an old Thermos brand lantern (I think mid 70) at a yard sale but it has no globe or handle. Does anyone have any info for parts?

Globe for a Coleman 220/228 will work. Handle you might have to make. The pumps from my limited experience seem to be pretty trouble free, just a drop or two of oil in it. It uses a O ring instead of a leather cup. I don't know about the generator, I haven't taken my thermos down that far yet.

Wait a minute, I am not sure about that globe. It might be a tappered one. if it is one from a coleman 275 might work. They seemed to try to avoid using a unique globe when ever possible.

Nancy

I looked at my Thermos lantern today and have given up on it. The check valve in the pump will not let air pass and as it can't be taken out I put carb cleaner in it. For several weeks. Did not help. and now the rubber washer in the pump has rolled over and broken. The rest of the lantern is barn dirty. not to badly dented. It has the handle. generator is there though I have not taken it off. If you want it for shipping tell me how much of it you want. IE, if you have a good or better top, cage ecc why ship it? I will just send you the parts you want. I guess I could always fix up a tire air valve to it but I have plenty of projects. The inside of the font does need the BB treatment.
