Like Randy said "is there a vaccination for this"

I went to a yard sale today. They had one old tired 220 lantern that had been painted and had a broken globe. (its amazing what you'll look when you need a fix) So I am looking at this thing and a guy says " I have about ten of those things at home if your into those things". Said he had a gold one a chrome single burner. He lived around the corner and so off we went. After searching around, no gold one and no single burner chrome one. But I did make a package deal on six lanterns, three globes, and some homemade boxes.

The chrome 220 is the only one of any value and maybe the 200a's
There are two frosted globes on 2 of the 220's.
What do the belong on?

One of the globes on the 200a is a green sunrise globe. First one I have seen.
Three new old stock globes.
Also a plastic funnel and a reflector.
There is a vent on one of the 220's that looks like it belongs on a sears.
The globe on the chrome 220 is a white sunrise.
Alot of different things to look at even though the lanterns aren't anything special.

$$$ 25.00 ................. :D :D

Coleman Collecting is forever. We are the infected. We are the People of the Ancient Light. We cannot help it . It is not a choice. I think a person may be born with it. I have tried to infect my wife but she never tests positive. I have tried to infect others but it does not take. It must be genetic. We are freaks, we are Coleman Keepers. :frightened:

Great finds by the way.

I never get good muti hits like you do. I have to collect them the hard way. One at a time. It is painful to do it one at a time. Maybe I too will get lucky and have a big score.

Its funny and all but I really have trouble walking by a Coleman lantern and not taking it home. I did however leave one on a table at the flea market last weekend. I kind of did it just to see if I could. It was in terrible condition and was not worth anything, but I still wanted it. And I still regret not buying it. I am sick I guess. I just love it.

That nickel fount 220 is a keeper for sure. It does have a wrong cap on it. should be a 3 piecer. I am not sure when the green sunrise 242/200 globe was made, but it is and earlier one. Nice haul. And how do you say you have a Gold one and then can't find it? I hope you left contact information with him just encase his brain cells come together again and he really does have a Gold one and a nickel single burner, that one could be a GI stove or a 500 maybe even an AGM or some really cool stuff from Europe.

Yes, there is a vaccine for this, but the side effects are quite painful and expensive to treat. :( Among the side-effects are a craving for hot-doggers and cast iron cookware. ;)
Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional.

This is the depth of the sickness. I went back to the vendor that I left the lantern with. He still had it and I bought it for a buck. Now I am at peace.

Kirk, you are really sick. You need somekind of help so you can be "normal" like the rest of the people roaming the planet.

I too had one I walked away from this weekend. NO value. I too could of had for a buck I am sure. It haunted me all weekend until I new the sale was over.
..........The next thing that was taking over my thoughts was... I wonder if they put it on the street for the trash pickup. This can't be mentally "right".
I keep hearing the voice of Randy echoing through my head. " I have so many of the 220's on hand I am going to paint a bullseye them". I have maybe ten or so that have been religated to tha parts pile. I have another pile that may be restored someday. ( nothing like buying in bulk ) Why do I keep looking at models that I already have?
Espsecially when these examples are the lower end of the scale. The lost ones. I can't turn away. ........................

Kirk you really need to have you sickness looked at. If you find a cure, clue me in. ( next stop... the rubber room )

"Enjoy" huh. Is that what I should tell my family and friends when they discover how many lanters I acually have. Or what happens when I take that final flight in the sky and someone goes to open the door on my garage? ...................

Once again.. yer lookin at it all wrong ! As fer when yer "gone".. YOU won't care WHAT they say ! I've got 15 lanterns and about 6 or 7 stoves.. Right NOW I don't care what ANYONE thinks ! Jus think.. you know people who collect "spoons".. salt & pepper shakers.. etc.. So.. they are a bit kooky...THEY love their collections..

Keith, oh keeper of the light,be secure with yoself ! Be diligent to "find" those "lost" lanterns and breathe LIFE into em !

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!! ( sorry, I got a little carried way )
