Custom 425B

Postby campmaster-k » Sun May 20, 2012 10:21 pm

Several months ago I scored a 425 B. It had been painted black with some sort of brushed on paint. It was an ugly duckling. I found it at Denios flea market under a table and it had be left in the elements for years. It is fairly strait and I wanted a custom 425 so this is what I had done so far.

I cant decide about the fuel cap. Red or white. I am leaning toward red.

It is not going to be perfect but it is exactly what I was hoping for. Back to life for a 425 B. 8)

Looks good Kirk....that's what the 425's and 413's are for, doing up your own custom stuff. There are tons of them around and after all, It's just a paint job on it. Do whatcha' want. Doug

Thanks Doug you are the inspiration for the off white tank. Its a very cool look on an old stove. I am not sure I would have ever thought of that combo. Thanks for being a pioneer .

Nice Job Kirk! I like the color choices. Makes me want to try something like that with one of mine just for fun. Maybe this winter when we are all looking for something to do we can have a customize a Coleman stove contest. Anything goes but it must burn! What do you think? Gives plenty of time to plan!

Looks really good!! I like the color combo! Makes it look even older than it is!!

I still want a 'gold bond' stove..fake of course..maybe with a little turd brown tie in so nobody thinks I'm trying to pass it off as the real deal...But I have to find a stove first!!
