I don't have a Teardrop, but

Postby tomsglr » Sun Jun 24, 2007 10:02 pm

I bought a Harbor Freight trailer last year to start on a Teardrop. Then I must have lost interest. I was waiting until I had some pictures of a Teardrop to put anything on here, but I see there are some non Teardrop motorcycle trailers in here. So, I thought I might as well put some pictures of mine in. First I made the trunk that is on the front to go on the bike, but it was way to big and tall for the bike, so I had to make a trailer to put it on. I used a Harbor Freight trailer and cut the body down to 24" wide. I extended the tongue a couple of feet. You can't see it. I wraped it with black leather. I'm still thinking about building the Teardrop.

Beautiful job!

Please build a teardrop--you obviously have the skills and willingness to attack difficult design parameters. Please, please build!
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

That is great. Wonderful detailing. A teardrop with that detailing would be beautiful.

You don't need a teardop to post , although most here would want you to. I don't have one yet either, but learned enough to feel comfortable enough to rebuild a boat trailer and haul it back to Texas from California.

Post whatever you're building and maybe someone else can get an idea, or build technique from you. If nothing else, post great pictures and maybe someone will be able to answer some building questions that you may have. I know I've ask many.
