Mike...
The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...

You can see in the lower left of the picture there is a removable coupler frame... i assume it attaches to the front of the barrel somewhere...

So...this was a SCHOOL project? (I assume FFA is still a "school" thing)

Not that I have any problems with it, or that I don't think it's exceptionally cool, mind you... :thumbsup:

FFA == "club"

Future Farmers of America..

Where making a gun-grill would be viewed by 80% as "cool".

Not what would happen in San Fran.

(I grew up in an area where gun racks with actual guns in them were common in the school parking lot -- none of us killed each other... Sadly, the world has moved on.)

wasn't an FFA member myself (wanted to get away from farming at an early age ;)), but where I grew up most of it was done through the school system...FFA leader, or whatever you'd call him, was the ag teacher, and most of the projects had some ties to the classes.

Probably not the case as much anymore, with budget cuts being what they are, though.

It ties to farming ........

Cattle farming and hog farming ~~something has gotta go on that grill.

Make a heck of an FFA fund raiser all you need is the buns :lol:

As to towing I may be seeing things but on the barrell isn't that dropped piece at the end a fifth wheel setup.
Growing older but not up !

I saw a TV programme recently showing the new US howitzer, which is towed an interesting way. Here it is in firing mode (actually with the Canuckian army) and what's that under the muzzle?

and here it is being towed:

I bet they don't leave a shell in the breech when towing, 'cos that canvas bag over the muzzle ain't gonna be enough to stop it....
