Now that I've worked out logistics and bugs, I am ready to make another one. Maybe I'll pass this one on to my daughter and build a dream vardo in a couple years.

Too bad I didn't know you a year ago. I took the wagon up to Bismarck last fall and even camped at the KOA there. Let me know if I can answer any questions. I need to update the Vardo blog [http://paleotool.wordpress.com/plans-projects-and-patterns/the-vardo/] as there are some important additions and some small but good changes to the wagon. It is more of a process than a one-time project.

Just a quick inquiry...
How come its referred to as a "Mock" vardo? I picture something made from a cardboard cutout when I see this name applied.

It could really fit into about any of the traditional living-wagon forms: e.g., sheep wagon, accommodation, showman's, vardo, or just plain old time caravan. It was inspired by and is my interpretation of all of them.
This little land yacht has taken me over 9800 miles so far through mountains, deserts, and plains from Mexico to the Canadian border. It is quite real.

Thanks to all those on this forum as it has been a great source for home builders. I refer people to it all the time.

Hey George! Ive posted on your blog, I really like your Vardo, Im building my 2nd lil vardo. I dream of doin a full size one, How much does yours weigh and did you take a big hit on mpg? Towing mine I went from 21 to 16mpg. I wonder if I didnt drive over 70mph if that would increase my miles to the gallon lol
