Stand-up (pop-up overhaul)

Design & Construction of anything that's not a teardrop e.g. Grasshoppers or Sunspots

It is really coming together. I got thewindows installed. The dinette built, the Main bunk in ( I used the Slide out bunk from the pop up, just had to modify it a lil). I got it completely insulated. I framed out the faceplate for two cabinet doors. I shortened the plastic Wheel Wells and built wooden boxes over them. One will hold the fridge/micro, the other is under the dinette. I installed drawers in one of the dinette bases. I re-used the drawers and slides from the old camper. I plan to paint the roof with some Elastomer paint today.

I got the first coat of Elastomer paint on the camper. I put some very nice light weight tongue and groove pine up on the walls and paneled the walss behind the stove/fridge and dinette areas. I got the bottom bunk installed on the kids end. I slimmed down the original table and covered it with a hardwood plywood and trimmed it in oak. Going to ditch the folding legs and make a center pedestal that will collapse the table to bunk height. I got a very nice compliment from my wife and a family friend on the camper. I am pleased with the progress so far.

I am pondering the use of vinyl sidng on the camper. Would it hold up to highway travel if it was screwwed on and glued at the overlap points?

I have made quite a bit of progress on the build. I have most of the interior complete. I got the wiring done. I got the table built. I have most of the ceiling up. I am pleased to report that through 5-6 thunderstorms, all providing significant precipitation, the camper has remained dry inside.

I will post new pics soon.

Got any new pics yet? What happened to the old pics?
