teardrop cap for pickup truck?

Not really, tho I'd guess no more than 100-150 lbs. I put it on myself, more awkward than anything.

I like how it is hinged just like a teardrop.

I know some guys hinge their teardrops with extruded aluminum rather than a true hinge. That way, the entire hatch can be removed easily by opening it really far and then just unhooking it.

It's just a short piano hinge covered with a strip of rubber roofing material. The bow in the roof wouldn't let me use a hinge any longer.

If your cap is done the same way, it would make it easy just to take the hatch part off, for loading up a motorcycle or big furniture.

Now Rich...being a Ford person...you know perfectly well what light metallic color was used on the 2 toned burgandy...Wasn't it called a "champagne"?...but if you want the green....Doug

I'm pretty sure it was champagne which isn't a bad idea, if I find I don't have enough base I may just have to seriously consider that.
Of course the green would certainly be interesting!!!
