My Giant Teardrop build

Design & Construction of anything that's not a teardrop e.g. Grasshoppers or Sunspots

Postby Ivar the Red » Sat May 10, 2008 3:20 pm

Ok, work lasted a lot longer today than planned, so I prolly won't get any weights for you guy just yet, bummer. Stay tuned. But maybe I can clear up a little about the front storage.
Image

This inside storage will be the dog's area, storage for chairs, ez ups, any small campsite tools, lights, lanterns, radio, TV....just stuff. Mainly to redistribute the weight. Any A/C unit or batteries will be outside, just in front of the front wall. I just noticed I drew that a little wrong, let me fix that, I'll be right back.

You did say that the axles are movable, right?? So when you get it sorted out, just adjust them were you need them.

As long as those bolts aren't rusted permanent, that's starting to sound the easiest and best way. May have to come up with a different door arrangement though.

You should call this the "Microsoft Teardrop" -- lots of big ideas, but it will never be done and won't live up to expectations.

Dude, start building!

I hunt with a guy who showed up last year with a factory made tear, camo with fiberglass hatch, it was 6x10 camper, real roomy, but in front of the camper it had a flat bed made out of diamond plate painted black, about 6x7, for gear and 4 wheeler and whatnot. I thought the forward toy area was a pretty neat idea, you would have a good foundation for something like that.

Where is the pop corn eating emoticon? This thread appears to be entertaining, and if Johnny gets around to it a unique build.

Are you really going to make that poor girl squeeze into a 22" wide bed????
If she rolls over too fast she's likely to break her nose or one of her appendages, come on, be nice, give her a little elbow room!!!!
