cant make up my mind ......oh yeah hello this forum...

Design & Construction of anything that's not a teardrop e.g. Grasshoppers or Sunspots

cant make up my mind ......oh yeah hello this forum...

Postby billydj » Wed Nov 08, 2006 4:53 pm

been drawing a lot but my design keeps evolving into a reverse teardrop"ttt" ......low at the hitch side and 5 feet high at the back( like a "toyhauler".....mostly cause my main plan with a galley at the front just doesnt seem to balance out for tongue weight.....the highback design has a straight up and down hatch and removable galley setup....total length without tongue is 10 feet...give or take....side door about 2 feet from rear and features a in or out galley and drop floor.....
cant find any similar designs out there....or have I missed it???

I will try and post a scan.........

That sounds interesting. I'd like to see a drawing of it.

Hi Billy,

Any luck with that scan?

Welcome to the forum too!

If you are building backwards, then take a look at the escape hatch! :o

If it's too big, resize it. See "help with photos" up there in the menu. You want your scans to be 640x480, or 480x640

I like the layout. You might need to move your axle back a little though.

axle

Postby billydj » Thu Nov 09, 2006 11:07 pm

I was thinking the axle has to move too.....might have to put the door in the back hatch and split the galley.......but really changes floor plan around......or make the door with an arc out of the bottom to move the axle closer to the back??????? having the same problem with axle placement on my other plan for a regular teardrop.....
