Design & Construction of anything that's not a teardrop e.g. Grasshoppers or Sunspots

Crazy thought

Postby dreadcptflint » Sun Jan 27, 2008 6:50 pm

Has anyone built a teardrop shaped like a pirate ship? I have seen the Rocketear, barn and log cabin. Is this just a crazy idea? Any thougts on how to execute?

extendible mast

Postby dreadcptflint » Sun Jan 27, 2008 11:20 pm

I think that this could be done with modifying one of those extendible flag poles.

I remember from a kid those small black powder cannons for well cannons.

My biggest concern is the top deck. How much slope would be enough to get it to drain water?

Seems like any flat bottomed boat plans would work , build directly onto a boat trailer, add necessary details ...Figurehead,masts/rigging, eye patch, parrot, and Rum ..... Aargh!!!!

Do you have already a little black curtain for your left eye?

Would that be anything like a fish trailer?

No, I guess not...

Sounds like a good project for using woodstrips like my kayak.

If you're going to make it look like a ship, why not make it float too :D
