This is a simple 5 minute sketch. Please be open minded and offer some ideas. The frame is from a popup camper. The floor will be at the height of the fender well so no need to raise anything.

Hello, Gager

This is a very interesting design! Kind of a Benroy meets Weekender. I'm curious why you are putting the curve on the hardest part (the hatch area) and using straight cuts on the easier part, the nose? If I were mixing the two design styles, I would definately round the front and square the back. But it DOES look nice!

One thing I might point out. Most folks get into their teardrops by sitting in the doorway and rolling back in, kind of like a scuba diver dropping backwards off a boat. With your bed only covering 1/2 the threshhold, this would be difficult. Otherwise, nice!

Critics welcome but be open minded.

Ergonomic nightmare. Give it another 5 minutes. 8)

More information needed. Bed size, etc

How about moving the door forward some so that you get to use the drop floor. Also, do you need the drop floor all the way across? it might be a good place to create storage

Have fun

John

The bed = queen.
The drop floor idea has been changed to two compartments

Personal opinion, I think I would prefer a rounded front to your drawing for this thread.
