A convertible TD

Design & Construction of anything that's not a teardrop e.g. Grasshoppers or Sunspots

A convertible TD

Postby b.bodemer » Tue Oct 07, 2008 9:58 am

I wanted to share the pics from my friend Kate's teardrop build. This was a fun project to help her with.

My buddy Bill, who helped with my td build, also suggested that she can have a solid roof in additon to extend her td season if she'd like. Just like any build or plans there can be so many cool variations of a theme and that's what makes these trailers so neat.

Nice! :applause: :applause: :applause:

You know, that's a great way to build a second TD. Build it for a friend, then you can figure out all the stuff that you would do differently, THEN build the one that YOU want with all the bells and whistles that fit your wants.

Have you and Bill started on one for him yet?

Cool! Does he have a computer and has he logged in to T&TTT yet and created an "identity"? It'll be cool to see what he comes up with. However, I imagine that you'll be helping him out, hmmmm? So, you'll have a front seat view. Keep us posted. . . . .

Just remind him that we got to see the pics!

Barb,

For some or other bizarre reason, I cannot watch the movie link. I have tried for two days now, but still nothing. It even crashes my browser (firefox AND IE).

Do you have a copy of that video on YouTube perhaps?

Sorry you are having trouble viewing the slideshow.......I just checked the link in my original post and it's working for me.

Instaed of clickling on the link can you enter the address itself. It's a pain but I wonder if that would work.

Hi,

It loads the entire page just fine, except for the video. There is therefore not a problem with the link, but rather the link to the specific video. I thought it might be a plugin problem, but that also seemed to work fine. So, I really don't know what the problem is... Aww well...

I also like the concept. Nice trailer for those warm summer nights of sleeping under the stars. Off the ground and a screen to keep the bugs away. Or if it is windy, stormy, cool, keep the top on and you are snug as a bug in a rug.

Bravo, :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause:

Very nice build. Congratulations to you and Kate! :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause:
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

Very nice, I like the idea of not being eaten alive by bugs while watching for shoting stars.
