Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

I believe I read somewhere a post from Andrew. It was something about his view that a tiny trailer with a squared off back could have less drag than a sloped "tear" hatch and back.

Does anyone have personal experience testing various shapes?

That comment was about a bicycle trailer - where the trailer is significantly bigger than the 'tow vehicle'. For a motorised tow vehicle there would be two alternatives:

- If the trailer is smaller (ie, lower, narrower) than the tow vehicle, its shape will make no great difference to the extra drag it causes.

- If the trailer is larger than the tow vehicle, then rounded front edges (top and sides) would be nice.

The square back of your design is probably the lowest drag solution - apart from a fancy tapering shape ending in a smaller square back. To see this illustrated, look at this baby Audi A2 that doesn't get sold in the USA.
