This is a little sleeping pod as I call it that im going to start building next week. This will be used this fall and winter for my hunting trips. It will slide onto my existing utility trailer. Its a 4 wide design 7' in length. Rear full width door to aid in loading supplies ,etc. Just the basics here , nothing fancy. I will be building a 5x9 size similar to this next year on its own trailer. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks and God Bless

Nice but add one side door that way it helps twice, one if you load everything from back you will still have access towards the front 3 feet and second at night when you have to go pee easier to go out from the side door than scrunching back down and opening the big door! Just my thought anyway!

Ive pondered the side door. But I may just hinge the rear door on its side. With the utility trailer already having side rails I don't think the door on the side would be easy to get in and out of. that would make the side door under 30" tall and well over 24" off the ground maybe more like 36" off the ground

Have to agree with Cliff. Not to mention, if it is winter, you are going to let any heat in the trailer out. Spent a lot of time backpacking in one-man tents that you had to crawl into and out of as they were one step above a bivy bag.

Hmmm, I like the door at the rear. With the raised sides not sure you could make a door work.

While a side door may not work well for routine entrance/exit, it could certainly come in quite handy for quick access to the front area.

I have started a build thread over in the build thread area. LOL.. I am still doing a rear door but it is not the whole back end. I came across a 42" tall X 31" wide RV cargo door. I also acquired a larger window that has approx. a 24" X 24" fire escape option ( just in case ). Check it out over in the build section
