Vardo camper as a food truck

Postby prohandyman » Sun Jul 21, 2013 8:30 pm

Ok...so the wifey likes to cook! That's an understatement. She should have been a chef. Add to that her family is from Germany, all cooks, and beer drinkers, hehe, oops...good ..she not looking. Add to that she likes to camp and I like to build campers and hotrods! What does it all add up to? She wants to retire and start a food truck. Not just any truck, one based on a camper. First thought was a vintage camper. Sill,a possibility. She also likes German architecture. So we now are thinking a Vardo! 12-14 ft long, sleeping quarters in front, kitchen in rear, and maybe a canopied vestibule on the back for grilling. Oh...did I mention German food. Her specialty if bratwursts. sour kraut , and German potato salad. Thanks to Bob Henry I have this frame just asking for a large build. Once thought I might build a Kamp Master clone on it, but today's plan is a vardo. Of course customer builds come first. And we have a couple of years before she retires. Might as well get started !

Dan,

I'd love to see you build a vardo. Throw in some German cooking and you'll have your own traveling festival.

 "Im Munchen steht ein hofbrauhaus,..."

Take care,
