Hey, no offense intended, but that weld in your first pic from your Jan 14 post looks a little suspicious.
If I am seeing it correctly I think I see lots of voids and maybe some incomplete fill on the lower side.
That being a very critical weld where the axle mount ties to the frame, you may want to grind that out and try again (or get someone with more experience to weld it up for you).
Don't mean to be a stick in the mud, just saying.
I know pic's can be deceiving, but they usually hide the details so... just saying, make sure you are safe.
There is a lot of linear joint there, so maybe it is strong enough, but ?
The person performing the weld is the first (and sometimes last) stage of QC. You have first person visibility on the situation; what is your gut telling you? Did the puddle melt in solid on both sides with good fill tying everything together?
My rule is, if I can't see the puddle forming, or if I am unsteady, I stop and reposition myself to where I can see the puddle, where my elbows and hands are resting solidly, and maybe even reposition the work so that I can ensure a good solid weld that passes my inspection both while performing the weld and after the fact.
