So I did not get as much as I'd like done. I bet everyone on this forum has felt that pain. Our weather has not cooperated for a long time though so it was nice to spend even a few hours out there.
So here is the latest photo I took yesterday.
You can see I got the rear completely disassembled and have rebuild the passenger side. Just got started on the drivers side.
As far as dimensions... The interior lower sleeping area is 4 feet wide by 74 inches long the upper sleeping area is the same width and six feet long (slightly shorter).
I just finished building the two smaller windows for the upper area. I used Lexan and the extruded PVC lumber (has anyone else on here used that for window construction before?) That is what the frames are all made of on the new windows in homes so i thought I'd give it a try. It says it is great for humid/wet applications and that it won't rot. They guarantee it up to 150 degrees. So we will see.
I am planning the windows to be easily replaceable.
Here is a shot of them on the table. I used silicone window sealant and cut a channel in the framing with the table saw. I am really happy with one the second one (oddly enough) did not come out as perfect. Oh well.
I wish I had a week off to build on this thing. We'd like to have it camp-able this summer for a trip to Yellowstone with the family.
So in the end I elongated the camper by nearly an additional foot. Thought it best to add the additional sleeping space.
