Junkboy....thank you! i am not sure about an AC....kind of designing this thing as i go, and i am not sure where i would put one, though i do like the suggestion (at least i think this is where you were talking about) under cabs behind wheel well bench....and thanks for the heads-up with regards to the battery.....permanent would be preferred. this is a pic of the galley as it is starting to take shape: under-mount sink on left, stove top (and eventual oven underneath depending on $) middle, and fridge right.

originally, i was going to reuse my water tank from pop-up to house grey water, and hook up to campsites fresh water, hence side-mount faucet. thinking now of storing wheeled grey water tank to park under trailer while camping and let sink just drain right in, and have gravity-feed water to faucet cold, with eventual hot-water solution (either solar or propane) to feed faucet hot. also considering 12-volt pump to get to faucet....i really like faucet being out of the way.

Juneaudave....thank you for your kind words!

By the way....JuneauDave.....the Slumbermax is wicked. i had looked at that before, didn't connect your name to the build. between yours, Wayne's bohemian, and a couple others i can't remember now, those were the inspirations to build a stripper for myself. you guys make it look easy!

Would it be possible to move the axle forward, that would take care of your tongue weight problem? I went with a detachable AC unit that works very well and can be left home. 80999 there is a write up on the process under hacking a Frigidaire.

Shadow....i am not sure how much i could move it up....maybe an inch or two at most, i think, but i will definitely look into it. and i LOVE the AC idea you employed....i was looking very closely at the pet cool option for the SJ....dollars may be the deciding factor for this. or just added later. thank you for your brainstorming!

I would assume you are on a leaf spring axle? I would look at building a battery box that would mount under the floor, just rear of the axle. If you built a box out of steel, it would be well protected and the axle tube would add to this too. As long as you're not planning on bashing it through the woods you'll be just fine.

well....not much more done, much to my chagrin....but here is how the interior cabinet doors will look, have the top two outside ones done, have one in the middle still to do, and two more beneath those....galley doors will be similar, I believe...
Image

The black spots on the door styles/rails, as well as several other places on outside of trailer are from nails/staples (this is reclaimed wood), so I am leaving them all in...too wasteful to leave out, and I like the aesthetic it gives....

Martian....thanks for the support....tedious only BEGINS to cover it....guess that's why I found this forum in the first place (and thankful for that), everyone pours their hearts into these!

Jgrote....your idea is awesome....but my trailer is an old pop up...so its already low to the ground, plus I suck at metal work. but it did get me thinking...

hope to put in quite a bit more time this next week
