first I picked up this trailer from a seller in England back last year I was told - don't know how true it is - that supposedly this was used by the New York fire dept. as a utility trailer back in the sixties but I don't know how true that is. if anyone recognises the shape or seen anything similar would like to hear from you thanks. Anyway...
so I cheated a little...no a lot because I reaaally didn't want to build from scratch and this ebay purchase is perfect for my own needs
and I really liked the roller shutter front lots of access just dive in

moving on...
the seller offered me some advice on improvements like cutting the axle and widening so that the wheels were outside and giving me more room inside. after a lot of thought I decided against this as I like the overall stance / setup.
so after parting with some cash made our 3 hour drive back home.
after a little planning we (by that I mean my father and myself) drew out a plan and started building.
like I say in the title this is my first build so workmanship is pretty caveman style but im starting to get better the more I work,
I think

first call I cut out the metal cupboards and tore apart an old unit I had picked up after someone was getting rid
took out the plastic runners I needed and secured in place, then I got some clear Perspex and a roll of cracked ice for a bit of privacy
overall I like the look and it does what I want. I know I need to straighten the lines around the windows but for now it'll work.
for some security I installed spring loaded pins in both openings either side of the trailer so I can secure from the inside
covered over the checker plate floor with thermal insulation sheets and laminate flooring
same for the sides all thermal insulated sheets covered over with whiteboard
cut out the wood for some storage space and shelving
and cut out some vents in the sides to you know help with the breathing later on at night

at the top end of the trailer on the right hand side I cut out the floor and then from underneath installed an aluminium box to house the battery i'd be using for lighting, laptop, phone charging etc.
right now that's all there is, going to clean up some pieces, make it look better and then sort out the interior with some decals, furnishings etc jus to make it a little more my own.
im hoping to make some sort of camping / kitchen unit I can moved in and out while camping
any comments, ideas or point out anything I should have done or needs changing please let me know thanks mike
