My name is Garrick and I'm located in NE WI. This is my first build. I know it looks familiar as it is based off another and I am okay with that; it's a very functional design. I found the name "Grave Digger" appropriate as this will get used for all of my out of state hunts. I do not have a lot of woodworking or construction experience so I will be looking for some help from this community!
A few notes:
Trailer Frame:
- 2x2x.120 and 3x2x3/16 for main tube, 2x2x1/8 angle for stabilizers
- Torsion axle was bartered for on craigslist. Had to extend it 2" because I wrote down the wrong measurement for the frame...
- Going to use epoxy primer and eastwood extreme chassis paint.
Wheels:
- I have a perfect set of 3 with tires mounted and balanced but wont work with my axle unless I use some 1-1.5" spacers. Looking into this currently...
Body:
- Overall dimensions are approx. 60"x96"
- Skeletonized plywood walls
- Will be primed and coated with red bed liner or Durbak
Electrical:
- AC and DC. I will need help with this. I have a picture attached of a rough plan, will this work? I see a lot of people using converters/inverters and I don't see why I would in this setup...
